It was with great pleasure that I recently had the opportunity to provide comprehensive digital marketing and event marketing support to the Castleblayney Music Festival, which took place over the previous August bank holiday weekend.
This festival – featuring some of the very best artists on the country music scene – was only the second event of its kind to take place at St. Mary’s Park, home to Castleblayney Faughs GAA.
Despite the weekend’s wet weather, eager crowds turned up to watch fantastic acts such as Clodagh Lawlor, Mike Denver, Johnny Brady, Limelite, Ben Reel Band, The Last Word, Philomena Begley, The Whistlin’ Donkeys, All Folk’d Up, John Glenn, Eamonn Toal, The Urge, The Last Word and Nathan Carter to name but a few.
Leveraging Online and Offline Marketing
Organising and promoting all aspects of the festival involved the use of both digital marketing and traditional marketing tactics.
In particular, social media interaction and engagement through frequent posting, and promotion through traditional print and local radio media channels stole the show as the most effective methods of publicity.
The Result
As a result of concerted marketing efforts and the coming together of 12 months of coordinated planning across all aspects of the festival, the 2022 event was a huge success.
Needless to say, I’m looking forward to next year already!
Feedback on Facebook from those who attended the event was incredible, and the accolades from the client were equally just as fantastic:
“As part of Castleblayney Faughs GAA, I have worked with Michelle Rankin for the past 12 months. I found her to be extremely professional and hard working. Her insights into digital marketing are phenomenal. I would highly recommend her services and look forward to working with her well into the future.”
